Kickstarter Project – Hanfree: A Handsfree iPad Stand
Hello,
Hanfree is an amazing new way to experience the iPad & iPad 2.
We created Hanfree because we LOVE the iPad, but found it tiresome to hold in bed.
The iPad’s new camera allows face to face calling. Wouldn’t it be awesome to Skype while lying in bed? Imagine the iPad floating effortlessly above you in the perfect position, and making a call to your lover, totally relaxed, hands free…
Hanfree is lightweight, and easy to move around the house.
It’s not necessary to have a huge loft, Hanfree will work in any home.
Hanfree makes it easier to use cooking apps when in the kitchen.
The three main parts: clear case, stainless steel neck, white acrylic base.
The case allows you to simply snap the iPad into place and fits the iPad securely. It has an integrated ball and socket joint which allows 360 degrees rotation, which makes it easy to switch from landscape or portrait modes.
The base is light weight and very stable, it’s slim profile was designed to be unobtrusive when using it with pillows in bed. We designed all of the corners to be rounded to make it kid friendly, while also eliminating snagging on sheets.
The neck is constructed from durable stainless steel. We made more than twenty prototypes to find the optimal curve and ideal height to place the iPad in the most ergonomic viewing position. The neck can pivot to the side, allowing you to swing it out of the way when you are getting in and out of bed.
